Grease

(This post is a quick reference for the latest information about Sunrise Cyclery's fearless leader and Grease Rag ally, Jamie.)

I recently posted that Jamie has had some health trouble that landed him in the hospital. Luckily he did not sustain permanent damage and he's going to pull through.

I posted details about Jamie’s situation here.

(He has congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, fluid in his lungs, high blood pressure & high blood sugar. He also has a blood clot in his heart and parts of his heart are inflamed. He will be in the hospital until at least this Sunday.)

I posted details about how you can HELP here.

(He could use some love and support, help at the shop, and money- spending at the shop is a great way to contribute.)

To liquidate merchandise to get cash flowing into the shop, Sunrise is having a SALE on apparel.

An alternative to donating time as a mechanic or spending money is participating in our EXTREME MAKEOVER WORKDAY on 9/6.

Come out for a group photo on 9/16, 7 PM sharp, to show your support of Grease Rag/ Sunrise Cyclery.

Jamie is out of the hospital and looks well!!  Awesome.  He has lost a lot of weight and has some serious life changes ahead of him, but we are happy to see him out and about.  Things just weren't the same without him.

Thanks for reading.  Let’s take care of ourselves, so we can take care of each other.

In solidarity,
Laura Kling

Support Jamie and Sunrise Cyclery by participating in a workday at the shop.

People have been asking how they can help out.  I posted about some ways you can give love and support, your time to the shop, and financial help by spending money at the shop.  I understand not everyone has money to give, but maybe you can give time and sweat equity instead:

Jamie has had some recent health trouble that landed him in the hospital. The man with the biggest heart winds up having heart failure... Luckily he did not sustain permanent damage and he's going to pull through.

Jamie needs our support right now.

Let's come together, pool our resources, and give something back.
