6/23 Learn to Ride!

By : Lowrah · June 21, 2011

The last Learn to Ride series that I participated in was amazing.  I met a new friend, Nicki, and she learned how to ride a bicycle.  Other people were learning too, from tiny tots to adults.  It was super fun!

The Community Partners Bike Library* presents----"Cycling 101/Riding with Traffic Workshop"

Thursday, June 23rd 5:30-7 at Seward Bike Center, 2310 Snelling Ave. Minneapolis

Need to learn how to bike? Come to our Workshop! Already know how to bike but want to learn how to feel more confident in traffic? Come to our Workshop! Learn how to bicycle well, as well as continue to become an informed biker about rules of the road, your rights, and cycling safely!

PLEASE RSVP FOR THIS CLASS to: bikelibrary@sibleybikedepot.org or http://612-889-1685

*CPBL is a project of Sibley Bike Depot

I know I've posted this before, and you've no doubt seen it, but... get pumped for learning how to ride bikes!

There will be two "levels" of classes.  One class will be for people that have never ridden, and the other level will be to build confidence on the road.

If you or someone you know is interested in the level 1 class, it won't be like the time when your big sister pushed you down the driveway, let go of the bike and you wiped out on your face... they let you learn all on your own, at your own speed.  Right on.

If you can attend this event as a volunteer (I have no previous experience teaching people how to ride bikes- it's all about being positive and offering encouragement) or as a participant- DO IT.  I can't say enough about how good I feel to be involved in this project.

Bike love,

Low
