Fundraiser, Birthday Party Recap
Money isn't everything, but sometimes you need a little to make things happen. Grease Rag needed some funds for making fliers and paying our contributing artists and skill-sharers, so we had a Spare Change Fundraiser. Thank you to everyone that rounded up or brought in their change jars! We raised about $200 in only two weeks, including the money that we raised at our Third Birthday Party.

Three years is a milestone- we are here to stay!
Thank you to all of the wonderful people that celebrated Grease Rag's birthday with us! My heart can not contain the joy and appreciation I have for all of you that make up this beautiful bike community. I find it very appropriate that Kat and I helped provide a space, and relied on you all to bring the funk and make it great. (Because that's pretty much how Grease Rag works!) The food was yummy, the conversations went on late into the night, and I enjoyed myself, maybe a little too much.
I'm finding it really hard to put into words how happy I am. I've been overwhelmed with support and encouragement these past few days/ months/ years, and I don't see myself coming down any time soon.
Grease Rag also received a surprise donation from some of the Wheel Sexy performers. Performers donated their performance stipends (Meaning that they did the Wheel Sexy show for no compensation but applause and the opportunity to express themselves!) toward the Grease Rag goal of becoming a Federally exempt nonprofit. The fee to register as a 501(c)3 organization is $400, and the check from Wheel Sexy gets us part of the way there! Thank you WS Crew!
