Go to Holland with me

By : Lowrah · April 21, 2011

I'm not kidding.  Not even a little.

The Netherlands Board of Tourism and KLM Airlines is having a contest where two people win a trip to tour the Netherlands by bicycle.  In return, the contest winners report back what they see, acting as "tour guides" for Facebook followers of the Netherlands and KLM.

From Holland's Facebook page:

How does this work?
We send two teams of two cyclists each to Holland to embark on a six-day cycling adventure. All cyclists will report back daily about their journey with pictures, video, updates and tweets.

To qualify, you need to be open to new experiences and willing to share them. Just submit a brief audition video of you and your teammate. It's simple: upload it here and you could be on your way to Holland. Tips for your Video

Winners will be notified May 2 & leave for Holland May 22.

Starting with a day in Amsterdam, the North Team will bike through scenic Haarlem, the traditional Dutch town of Edam and continue on to Enkhuizen, visit the Alkmaar cheese market, and transfer back to Amsterdam to explore museums and city attractions. Along the way you'll pass the picturesque Zaanse Schans windmill region and the famous Zuiderzeemuseum. Return flights to the US/Canada will be on Sunday, May 29th.

I checked out some of the sample videos, and there are hardly any WTF pairs.  We have 9 days to make a charming video that shows off a passion for riding, Holland, and using media to share travel experiences.  =D
