Halloweenie 2012

Happy Halloween!

Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year.  It is also the only holiday I celebrate with enthusiasm.  It probably has something (everything!) to do with the costumes and candy.  Here's a round-up of some fun Halloween-themed bike parties coming up this month.  See you out there!

BareBones Productions Presents the 19th Annual Halloween Outdoor Puppet Extravaganza Chicka-BOOM!

This is a performance that I make time for, every year.  Community members and BareBones Productions come together to present giant puppets, original music, and a (sometimes) spooky story culminating in a circle where the audience is encouraged to call out the names of people that have passed to the other side.

Parking is very limited... RIDE YOUR BIKE!

Saturday, Oct. 20th with The Poor Nobodys
Sunday, Oct. 21st * with Jack Brass Band
Saturday, Oct. 27th ** with Brass Messengers
Sunday, Oct. 28th with Ukrainian Village Band
Wednesday, Oct. 31st with Brass Messengers

All performances start at 7pm at Hidden Falls Park, suggested admission donation $5-$20.  To learn more about what to bring and what to expect, please visit the Facebook page or www.barebonespuppets.org

Hey,
I seem to be missing something as the link to the queer bike gang costume ride just brings me to my events page. I looked at their group page and couldn't find the ride/event. I couldn't find it by searching the name either. Does it really exist? If so, can someone help me find it? Thanks much!

5:00pm until 7:00pm
It's time for Halloween! Whether you are a fairy or a witch, pop icon or zombie businessman, come ride with us. It's been my experience that Queers are pretty serious about their outfits, so prepare to be dazzled (and/or bedazzled) by some outrageous costumes. Early enough so costumes can be seen but still enough time to haunt for a bit in the dark. Then lots of time for you to go off and do whatever other fun Halloween activities are planned for the weekend. Meet up on the stairs of the MIA, roll out 5:30; route will depend on how many of yous show up. So try to RSVP accordingly so we can plan ahead! We will cancel if there is rain (or snow?).
