I'm back from the west coast, and I had a great trip.  On Sunday I got off of a plane and was slapped in the face with a heat wave!  Holy humidity!  But whatever, right?  This is summer in Minnesota.  Hydrate, and ride on.

Yesterday my friend TJ invited me to go swimming.  All I wanted to do was sit in the creek until my internal temperature was under 200, so I hopped on my bike and headed out.  Six blocks away from my destination I had an inner tube blow out.  Nothing like changing a flat and laboring over a hand pump in the blazing sun.  I may or may not have sat on the curb and had a beer before I finished...

Oh, and in case you were wondering:  If you only have a 700c tube with a presta valve, it will totally work on your 27" wheel made for a schrader valve.  I replaced the presta tube with an inner tube with the correct kind of valve when I got home.
