Remember Jamie's dramatic and sudden health scare from last year?  Well, he is doing a lot better these days.  On Wednesday, November 2nd, Jamie went into the hospital for his last surgery.  Everything went great and he will be back at home on Friday.  He won't be back in the shop until November 15th or so.

The photo above is Jamie, holding a framed piece of birch bark that has been screen-printed with an outline of the Great Lakes.  The framed bark was a lovely handmade gift from the lovely Solidago Riders.  The Solidago Riders rode around the Great Lakes to raise money and awareness for sustainability projects.  These women are awesome, I suggest that you keep an eye on them because they are going places!

Jamie supported the Solidago Riders by loaning them Surly Long Haul Truckers for their trip.  Yes, Sunrise gave these riders five brand new bikes to make their trip possible.  Pretty sweet, huh?  Check out this video of Jamie talking about his mission to spread bike passion and knowledge.
