Mid-week update
Bike Walk Week is a good week to celebrate using non-motorized transportation. And today is "Womens Wednesday" with some events for us:
Womens Wednesday Clinic: Cleaning and tuning up your bike
Wednesday June 1st 6 – 8 pm, Downtown Minneapolis YWCA 1130 Nicollet Mall.
Dust off your bike in time for Bike Walk Week. Grease up your chain and make sure those brakes are in working order. Class will cover basic bike maintenance and a “Need to Know” for riding safer. Check in at the front desk and you will be directed to appropriate classroom.Womens Wednesday Bike Ride: Trails and routes into Downtown Minneapolis
Wednesday June 8th 6 – 8 pm, Downtown Minneapolis YWCA 1130 Nicollet Mall
Meet with your bike and helmet in front and join us for a leisurely ride around Downtown Minneapolis. Ride will include a tour of the off street trails and on road facilities that connect to downtown.
I hope the ride explores the newly opened leg of the Cedar Lake Trail!
Something to inspire you to commute to work:
Something to encourage you, especially if you're just learning how to ride:
And here is a list of all the places I'm going to be eating breakfast at on Thursday, on my way to meet up with my coworkers for a group commute!
