There's a lot going on right now. Here's a post with a few reminders about what rad events are coming up.
SO excited for Cirque du SoGay! It is going to be SoFabulous! This Saturday, I'm planning on racing with someone that I met through Grease Rag. I love it when that happens.
On Sunday, the Minneapolis Bike Coalition is organizing the Joy Ride, celebrating the joy of riding a bicycle, with stops for snacks and to appreciate parks in North Minneapolis and infrastructure in NE. Facebook event, and Snakshak has a great write up about the spirit behind the ride.
Bike Walk Week is my favorite early-summer bike holiday. My letter writing campaign must have worked, because there is a second BWW coming up October 3-9! They have events like a St. Paul Nice Ride tour, presentations about winter cycling (It's not too soon to start thinking about winter biking..), and tons of celebrations throughout the week, with most of them falling on "Ride to Work Day," Thursday, October 6.
Speaking of winter biking... Save the date for November 6th. We are planning on having our 3rd Annual Winter Skill Share on that Sunday. This isn't a "class" where you have to listen to a teacher tell you what to do, this is a time where we can come together and share our experiences with each other. If you have anything that you would like to present, please contact me! Here is a recap of last year's winter skill share if you're unfamiliar with the event.
