September Equinox

Yo la tengo - autumn sweater

We could slip away
Wouldn't that be better?
Me with nothing to say
And you in your autumn sweater

Today the September equinox takes place, signaling the official start of autumn.

As I take my last few breaths of summer warmth I am beginning to remember how much I love fall!  I'm excited for cool air, scarves, autumn sweaters, mittens and mugs of warm chai.  What do you like about this blustery, golden season?

While you pull out the johnnies and put the kettle on, I'd like to do some updates about the state of affairs at the Grease Rag.  Read on!

News and Updates

You have been asking about whether or not Grease Rag goes all year round- YOU BETCHA!  Both Sunrise Cyclery and Recovery Bikes are excited to be hosting Grease Rag for another year.  The last group ride of the season will be on November 3, and we will start them again in April.  We tend to have less people in the winter, so it is a perfect time for that "big" project that you've been wanting to work on.

Expect the third annual Winter Maintenance Skill-Share on a Saturday morning in November.  If you have skills to share, PLEASE contact us.  In the past we've had clothing, safety, bike cleaning, winter tires... If you would like to share what you know about that topic or if you have another topic you'd like to talk about, we need you!  (We are also toying with the idea of having another Winter Maintenance event in November... what do you all think about that?)

Stickers are available for a suggested donation of $1!  They are reflective and small enough to tastefully adorn your helmet, your steed, or your tool box.
