Looking back, I'm sure you remember my lament regarding a need for more photos of WTFs on bikes. An answer to my whining came in the form of a collaboration between Minneapolis Affair, the fashion and street-style photography blog, in the form of a photoshoot on the Greenway.  Yay!

Kat and I met up with Wynona and Reed of Minneapolis Affair, and spent a few chilly hours flagging down bikers and photographing friends. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon!

I just got the photos from Wynona, and I had to rush over here to tell you that I was absolutely stunned, because each and every one of the photos was absolutely stunning. The editing process is going to be difficult.

Wynona, you are such a great person to come out and freeze your fingers off to capture these images, and a talented photographer to boot. And all of you that were photographed are so good looking, it makes my eyes hurt a little. In an attempt to avoid blindness caused by good-looking bikers, I'll be doling these darlings out over the next few weeks. The first post will go up this weekend!

Before we get to the eye-candy portion of this project, I wanted to give a little background on why we thought this would be a good idea, and why you should come out to our next photoshoot.

The motivation behind taking these photos is to create more positive images of WTFs on bikes. We want photos of you as you are! Riding your bike on your way home from work, on the way to a happy hour, or to check out the trails at Theo Wirth. Wherever you're going or whatever you're doing, or whatever you are wearing- if you are on a bike, you're doing it right! We didn't target people based on what they were wearing or what kind of bike they were riding and this meant we were able to capture a range cyclists, all of which were awesomely beautiful. We are mothers, we are skinny-jeaned hipsters, we are commuters, we are roadies, and we look GOOD! We had some lycra, a honey-delivery person, a mountain bike, skirts, fenders, and more.

But you know what I want?

MORE!!

In two hours Wynona photographed 13 people, half of which were WTF cyclists. I dream of doing this photoshoot again, and having more of you lining up to have your portrait taken. Will you come out? In droves? Bike gangs? Mobs? We'll be ready.

Photos of WTFs will be posted here, on the Grease Rag blog. The photos of guys don't really fit in with our theme here, but we still think any butt on a bike is awesome, so we asked the nice people at Cycle Twin Cities to host the images for us. (This is some serious blog cross-pollination going on here. And I love it.) So never fear, beautiful male bikers- Your image will be broadcasted to your adoring public on CTC!
