Dearest Grease Rag Ladies and Grease Rag Supporters,

Grease Rag started out as a fun, twice-a-month event for a few of us ladies to get together and familiarize ourselves with our bicycles.  Over the past few months we have done everything from an instructional session, to intense wrenching sessions, to laid-back chats in the shop.  We have built bikes, trued wheels, changed flat tires and overhauled headsets together.

Quite a few ladies have expressed how Grease Rag has given them confidence and even taught them a thing or two.. not to mention the added bonus of connecting with other awesome ladies that ride!

If we are able to positively influence our small group, don't we owe it to our sisters to expand our little event into something that has the potential to create a safe space for a larger community? We think so!  Grease Rag is ready to evolve, and we need you.

Would you like the opportunity to be involved in organizing Grease Rag? We have a need for people with all kinds of skills and levels of commitment. Even if you're not sure how involved you'd like to become, send us an email and let us know you are interested in joining us: greaseragmpls@gmail.com

We believe there may be a way to get Grease Rag some money to enable us to grow.  The upcoming meeting will be the time to throw out any and all ideas you have about where to go with Grease Rag, and how to get there.  What do you like about what we have now?  What would you like to see in the future?  We would like to stress that this meeting is for anyone that has attended, would like to attend, or simply has an interest in what we are doing with Grease Rag.  This meeting is a call for ideas- by attending this meeting you are not committing to anything. We all own Grease Rag, and we should all have the opportunity to be involved in this process.

I will be sending out an email about an upcoming organizer's meeting planned for Tuesday, February 16th, in the next week to people that would like to become involved, so please email me ASAP.

We are looking forward to hearing from all of you, and we can't wait to get started!
