February is a hard month. And this year it’s an extra day long! To combat hardness, I am embracing softness. Hunkering into a soft cashmere scarf around my face. Hopping on my bicycle on a relatively warm day to wheel through soft mushy snow. Letting the soft gray light in through my rose colored lenses. Replacing my Franklin Hill grimace with soft, rosy cheeks and easy breaths. Watching small birds huddle outside my window, fluffed up and chittering. I love wrapping myself in all this softness as a buffer against the icy, harsh days and realities of winter.
